There are so many things to teach and review that it never seems to fit into a school year...let alone the things I need to achieve daily. As a result, I always find myself scrambling as the April testing window approaches. Sometimes that means we do double math...other times it means extra reading or science. I have decided to try to develop a new approach as I look to head back into the classroom in the fall. My goal is to combine review skills in math with my spelling/word study activities in hopes of killing two birds with one stone.
Today's freebie is designed to have students review three main things:
1) 3rd grade level Dolch words
2) Syllabication
3) Basic Bar Graphs

So try this freebie out and leave me a comment letting me know how it went! I will be creating a unit of activities focusing on many different math concepts intertwined with 3rd grade spelling standards in the near future (like next week on spring break!).

I love it! I'm a first grade teacher, but have almost 1/3 of my class working on the advanced sight word list and beyond. This would be a fabulous center activity for them to do independently!
I found you on Manic Monday! :)
